Making Play-Based Learning Fun & Easy | Kingdom Playroom

“Creativity is intelligence having fun.”
– Albert Einstein

– Once Upon A Time –

Playtime is HARD. Toys are strewn dangerously everywhere, kiddos complaining they’re bored, craft activities leaving a dramatic mess to clean up…

Back in 2020, during the height of the pandemic with three little boys aged 0-5, we struggled to be the super creative, fun and patient parents we envisioned ourselves to be. Screen time was getting out of control, new toys only entertained them for five seconds, and their limitless energy was bursting at the seams.

The entire house was quickly turning into their kingdom.

We are an Australian family based in Melbourne

And so with the aim of making playtime easier and more organised, I developed the Carry-Play™ – the first-ever portable activity table with a patent registered folding design.

We are strong believers in less is more. As a mum myself, I designed the Carry-Play™ to be multifunctional and compatible with the most common early years play – like building blocks, water play, and sensory activities – so it is a worthwhile long term investment.

Versatile in its use, the table can be used both indoors and outdoors, and is suitable for home use as well as daycare centres and classrooms to maximise the use of space.

Bringing this product to market as a small business has been a monumental effort, from finding qualified manufacturers to bootstrapping the large finances required for the industrial steel moulds.

But the first batch of Carry-Play is now in almost 1,000 homes across six countries and loved by grown ups and kids alike.

We are not backed by investors or government funds, I am just a mum who was looking for a foldable kids table but couldn’t find one that suited my needs, so I decided to design my own.

Thank you to each one of you for sharing my vision, and believing in what I’m creating. I hope you love our products as much as we do.

May they delight your little kings and queens!

Playfully yours,
J.N Jenny Chen
